Staff Accountant- Remote - SA25-19802

Contract Duration: 6+ Months

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in reviewing contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and IT invoices to ensure appropriate coding and accurate accounting treatment. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to handle invoicing tasks, with a particular focus on Planview and Ariba systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and reconcile IT invoices based on hours entered in PPM tools (Planview).
• Verify labor invoices against timesheets to ensure compliance with accounting policies (e.g., Capital vs. Expense).
• Analyze contracts and SOWs for relevant details and ensure accuracy in documentation.
• Create contracts or purchase requisitions in Ariba based on SOW information.
• Collaborate with vendors to monitor aging items and ensure timely invoice payments.
• Work closely with the Project Management Team for seamless operations.
• Assist with both internal and external audit requests.
• Help ensure adherence to internal control policies and procedures.
• Partner with business teams to obtain supporting information for accruals and adjustments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience with Planview and Ariba systems is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in invoice processing.
• Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, specifically related to contract and invoice review.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
