As a Security Consultant Intern in our Chicago office for Summer 2025, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
Here’s why we need you:
We are seeking a motivated Security Consultancy Intern to assist in supporting project design, security assessment and contributing to client deliverables. This role provides hands-on experience in the analysis, planning, and implementation of security solutions while collaborating with seasoned security professionals.
The intern shall:
- Assist in conducting security risk assessments, evaluating physical security measures, and identifying vulnerabilities.
- Support site surveys by documenting security infrastructure, access controls, and surveillance systems.
- Help analyze threat intelligence, incident data, and risk trends to inform security recommendations.
- Contribute to project planning and design, including drafting reports and developing security improvement strategies.
- Work with security consultants to develop security policies, standards, and best practices for clients.
- Research and benchmark emerging security technologies and industry trends.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and client briefings with actionable insights.
Effective skills to help you flourish:
- Pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Interest in physical security, risk assessment, and security technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical report writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with GIS mapping, CAD, or security design tools is a plus.
- Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
- Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
- Effective working individually and within team environments.

Estimated Starting Hourly Range: $22 - $24Benefits: Paid Holidays, Paid Sick Time (accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked).
