Job Summary:

This internship is designed for college students who desire to have a career in the insurance industry. You will be trained on one or more of our Commercial or Specialty product lines. Work post-training will include underwriting new business quotes, renewal business, along with additional projects as needed.
You will be paired with an experienced mentor who will review your work, assist in answering your questions, and provide additional insights into our culture. We will also expose you to other functional areas within our organization including Claims, Loss Prevention, and Sales.

Additional opportunities may include job shadowing with experienced Underwriters, traveling with Loss Prevention to learn about different business, visiting an agency to acquire knowledge about how the agency interacts with underwriting, and conducting presentations on your experiences.

**This position will require working on site at our Madison, WI location

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably Risk Management & Insurance, Business or Math
(Junior status is preferred)
  • Intermediate knowledge of personal computers
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to contribute in a team environment
