Overview:
Establish inside sales strategy and execute sales process for assigned distributors to drive revenue growth. Support Electrical Distribution (ED) salesforce with deal execution, internal pricing processes, account inquiries, and communications.
Responsibilities:
- Support the overall relationship between Leviton, Distribution sales, our channel partner, and the End Customer; at all locations if multiple locations exist
- Manage existing accounts in coordination with ED & OEM sales in the territory, driving the specification and usage of Leviton components in OEM builds
- Support price negotiations with ED territory sales with end user on a corporate level and individual plant level when necessary
- Work and coordinate with other Leviton team members who may have responsibilities for remote customer locations
- Drive the total business in a positive manner through team building and coordinated efforts of all involved
- Be known at the customer as the “Go to Person” for Leviton
- Establish annual revenue, product and program goals with the customer
- Hold regular review sessions with the customer to ensure goals and objectives are being met or corrective action is taken where necessary
- Promote the Total Capabilities of Leviton to position Leviton as the Wiring Device supplier of choice throughout the customer’s organization
- Report activities in a CRM
- To grow the business year over year for the BU’s support
- Manage a book of business between $5 million and $10 million
Qualifications:
- Strong targeting and prospecting to penetrate complex accounts
- Strong organizational skills to manage and direct complex accounts
- Possess strong leadership, relationship-building, and relationship management skills
- Outstanding oral, written, and verbal communication/presentation skills as well as negotiation skills
- Focused on developing and driving specifications through-out a sales cycle in a Team environment
- High level of comfort in communicating with every level of an organization from top level executives to field personnel
- Can transition seamlessly in and out of complex accounts during a sales cycle
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Education & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years penetrating, selling into and managing complex OEM accounts
- 5+ years of experience selling Leviton products or comparable experience selling similar products to OEM’s
- High level of technical expertise, demonstrated by a technical degree and/or several years of proven experience in a highly technical industry
