Property Accountant

We are in the search for a diligent Property Accountant to be a part of our team in the Real Estate & Property industry based in Calabasas, California. The role will encompass the preparation and analysis of financial statements, account reconciliations, and tenant billings among other tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements for all properties.
- Conduct meticulous review of general ledgers to ensure correct account entries.
- Prepare and analyze supporting schedules relevant to the preparation of monthly financials.
- Conduct comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Analyze and prepare annual CAM reconciliations; address tenant disputes related to CAM charges.
- Review leases and bill tenants accurately, making any necessary adjustments.
- Accurately perform calculations for CPI and percentage rent.
- Collaborate with property managers for the drafting of annual budgets and calculation of CAM estimates for tenants.
- Handle lender reserve draws for reimbursement related to tenant improvements, leasing commissions, and capital expenditures. • Proficiency in accounting software systems such as AMSI and AppFolio.
- Experience in account coding.
- Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services.
- Sound understanding and application of accounting functions.
- Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Knowledge of accrual accounting.
- Experience in auditing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in the real estate or property industry is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
