Accounting Manager/Supervisor

We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the haulage industry, based in Norfolk, Virginia. This role will involve ensuring the efficiency of our finance teams, leading finance projects, and adhering to policies and KPIs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting, controlling, and collections functions, ensuring all deliverables and deadlines are met
- Manage services provided by agency network, including Business Control, Cost Control, DDSM, and Tax
- Establish, monitor, and report on worldwide APL KPIs
- Liaise with local business and operations teams to implement corrective actions based on P& L fluctuations vs budget
- Monitor the development and implementation of finance systems and controls for efficiency
- Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinating requirements with Senior Leadership and consolidating within Group deadlines
- Supervise the development of financial report formats for the Company and various stakeholders
- Manage both external and internal audits to ensure reports are issued in line with group and/or local requirements
- Utilize Accounting Software Systems, ADP
- Financial Services, BlackLine, Concur, ERP
- Enterprise Resource Planning to process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accurate customer credit records using accounting functions such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Ensure adherence to auditing and billing functions, maintaining efficiency and accuracy. • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required
- Familiarity with BlackLine and Concur would be advantageous
- Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential
- Must have a strong understanding and experience in Accounting Functions
- Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary
- Prior experience in Auditing is preferred
- Must be capable of efficiently handling Billing Functions
- Candidates should have a strong understanding of the haulage industry.
