Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting provides direct patient care, manages the day-to-day clinical operations, and ensures compliance with nursing standards of care. This position focuses on maintaining residents' quality of life, safety, and well-being through the following responsibilities:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for residents.
• Administering medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Developing and revising individualized care plans based on resident needs.
• Monitoring resident status and reporting changes to physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and providing guidance and mentorship.
• Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations, including infection control and safety standards.
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records.
• Coordinating care with families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Providing compassionate care and emotional support to residents and their families.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a SNF or long-term care setting.
• Strong understanding of geriatric care.
• Experience with wound care, IV therapy, and medication administration.

Education:

• Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications & Licensure:

• Required:
• Current RN license in the state of MI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred).

Shifts: 8x5 (Evening & Night Shift)
