My client is a leading construction firm located in Newport, KY, specializing in Industrial, Healthcare, & Commercial projects. With a strong reputation for delivering quality projects on time and within budget, they are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team and oversee the estimation of costs, materials, and timelines for upcoming construction projects.
Job Description- Lead the estimation process for healthcare, commercial, and industrial construction projects.
- Review architectural and engineering plans to assess the scope of work, material requirements, and labor costs.
- Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
- Solicit and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Work closely with the project management team to ensure the estimated budgets align with project timelines.
- Prepare and present cost analyses and value engineering options.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor and update estimates as necessary to accommodate changes in scope or project conditions.
- Participate in contract negotiations and procurement.
- Ensure that the estimating process complies with company policies and client requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, local market conditions, and pricing.

The Successful Applicant- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Proficiency in estimating software (such as ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project documents.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with local building codes and regulations is a plus.
