Aon is looking for an Account Executive I.

What the day will look like
  • Responsible for managing the relationship with assigned clients and handling their day-to-day needs.
  • Responsible for new business development; review, source, and analyze prospective clients within their assigned territory.
  • Develop an understanding of the Small Commercial Property and Casualty insurance marketplace and current trends.
  • Gather submission material through the appropriate account management team and other sources.
  • Submit applications to the underwriter and negotiate policy terms and costs
  • Deliver quote proposals and provide an overview of coverage terms in all elements of client-facing (internal and external).
  • Effectively secure quotes, binders, and policies and seek corrections from underwriters
  • Provide continuous support and service to clients during the entire submission process and the entire period of engagement by the client.
  • Investigate and answer coverage inquiries
  • Ensure annual review and sales within targeted timelines
  • Manage daily phone coverage to achieve department standards

How this opportunity is different

The Account Executive will be focused on delivering innovative insurance and risk management solutions to prospects and clients. Insurance solutions would include business owners' insurance liability, general liability, cyber liability, workers' compensation, employment practices liability, etc.

Development in the role would progress to opportunities for taking the lead within the team structure.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 3+ years of sales or insurance industry experience in commercial insurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Be a self-starter and able to work independently
  • Ability to build relationships and be a team player
  • Efficiently manage tasks assigned to you to ensure that they are completed by the deadline
  • Demonstrate competence in comparison and analysis of insurance policies and determination of needed enhancements by market
  • Be able to articulate the value proposition of Aon
  • Be proficient in internal Aon policies, procedures, and documents
  • Active P&C License

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent property and casualty knowledge preferred.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $82,100 to $87,100 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive production incentives in addition to base salary. The amount of any production incentives varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
