Role: Senior Kafka Administrator Location: New York or Alpharetta - only local (Hybrid model 3 days from office) Duration:- Long Term Job Description Install, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters. Monitor Kafka cluster health and performance to ensure high availability and performance.
Perform data replication and backup procedures to prevent data loss. Implement security measures to protect sensitive data within Kafka. Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts for the automation of routine tasks. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kafka and the underlying infrastructure.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate Kafka into various applications. Keep up-to-date with the latest Kafka features and best practices. Provide on-call support for critical issues outside of normal business hours. Roles & Responsibility Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Kafka Administrator. Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, internals, and deployment. Proficiency in Linux shell scripting and system administration. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS or Azure Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Skills: Certifications in Apache Kafka and Linux administration. Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or other configuration management tools.
