We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our Client's team in Washington, D.C. and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for their employees. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

You will work closely with the HR team and finance department to maintain accurate employee records and provide excellent service to our staff. Experience in a Payroll software such as ADP or Ceridian is desired.

salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and process employee wages, bonuses, and deductions accurately and on time.
  • Timekeeping Management: Maintain and verify timekeeping records, ensuring that hours worked are correctly recorded.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including withholding and reporting.
  • Employee Records Maintenance: Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including salary, benefits, and tax information.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit payroll reports for management, finance, and tax purposes.
  • Auditing and Reconciliation: Conduct regular audits of payroll data and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Customer Service: Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits in a timely manner.
