Medical Receptionist

Responsibilities:

• Operate basic office equipment required for the role efficiently
• Manage incoming calls and a multi-line phone system effectively
• Schedule appointments for patients promptly and efficiently
• Understand basic medical terminologies to facilitate effective communication
• Verify insurance details and obtain prior authorization when necessary
• Keep accurate records of patient data and other relevant information
• Take appropriate action based on the monitoring of patient accounts. • Proficiency in the use of basic office equipment, including computers, fax machines, and printers.
• Demonstrated abilities in basic office skills such as filing, scheduling, and data entry.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with healthcare staff and patients.
• Experience in answering a multi-line phone system, ensuring detail oriented and courteous communication at all times.
