Tomorrow Water is hiring a project engineer (Environmental/Civil/Chemical) at its Anaheim, California headquarters. Take pride in providing clean water and innovative solutions to cities & industries and turning waste into valuable resources.In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers on studies, designs, and field assignments, helping clients address their unique challenges by evaluating and implementing effective treatment solutions primarily focused on wastewater treatment and resource recovery.
Roles and Responsibilities: Project Engineer (Environmental/Civil/Chemical Eng.)
Assist in preparing a variety of water and wastewater engineering deliverables, such as hydraulic profile, process flow diagram (PDF), design basis, mass balance calculations, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and chemical consumption list.
Assist engineering design team in chemical and process calculations, bench and pilot testing, and provide engineering design services during design and construction phases of the projects.
Supports the execution of advanced research activities, including applied research involving bench-scale, pilot-scale, and full-scale testing to evaluate or validate the performance of TWs treatment processes and technologies, integrating the results into process models and assist in writing the final report.
Work with other members of our team to evaluate and select the best treatment approach to solve a client's challenges and design treatment systems and plant improvements.
Provide support for business development activities, including involvement in pre-position meetings, presentation slides preparation and proposal development.
Assist R&D activities by performing chemical and physical analysis of wastewater and sludge in the laboratory and provides results to the R&D leader. Assist in developing and maintaining standard operation procedures for field sampling and equipment calibration.
Support the engineering and design development of the company products, systems, and equipment & systems.
Evaluate design plans for feasibility, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards
Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure that the project's technical aspects are accurately integrated
Review design documents prepared by other engineers, subcontractors, and drafters to ensure they meet the project scope, clients needs, and our quality standards.
Implement quality control processes to meet the project specifications and standards.
Address and resolve technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle
Oversee onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with drawings, plans, and specifications.
The work may take place in a combination of office settings and construction sites. The Project Engineer must be willing to travel to various project or pilot sites and work outdoors in various weather conditions, as necessary.
Assist in setting up projects, creating project folders.
Evaluate bids for materials, equipment, and supplies, and select vendors for goods and services.
Coordinate and track submittals, change orders, schedules, and the distribution of updated documents to subcontractors and vendors
Develop deep understanding of engineering principles and practices related to the project's field.
Relationship Management

Requirements
Bachelors / masters in civil/environmental/chemical Engineering or relevant fields.- 2 years of experience of related work experience in the water and wastewater industry which involved process design, process performance analysis or process engineering services for wastewater treatment projects.
Knowledge of construction materials, processes, and legal regulations is preferred.
Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools and AutoCAD.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Location: Anaheim, California Headquarters- Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 hrs per day
- Travel Required: Less than 20 % of time
- Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on the qualifications
