We are offering an exciting opportunity in the non-profit sector based in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the finance and accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient execution of accounting strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the finance department, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, billing, and collection.
  • Provide strategic planning, oversight, and execution for financial operations.
  • Ensure all accounting entries are accurately coded into the system.
  • Monitor and conduct monthly bank reconciliation for all accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver various financial reports and statements in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the preparation of budgets, budget reports, financial reports, and forecasts.
  • Develop and manage finance-related policies and procedures.
  • Drive best financial practices within the organization by developing and maintaining standard operating procedures.
  • Support department's long- and short-term goals, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Assist in the generation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as needed.
  • Ensure the organization meets critical regulatory and legal compliance benchmarks.
  • Involved in new contract and grant applications.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to the CEO, Chief of Staff, Board of Directors, and auditors.
  • Execute organization audits.

  • Extensive industry experience in Non-Profit, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Proven expertise in 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, and CRM.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an Annual Budget, including development, implementation, and tracking.
  • Experience in Auditing, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in managing Budget Processes, with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Experience with Month-end Close Activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
