Personal Injury Claims Analyst

Overview:

The Personal Injury Claims Analyst provide assistance to Deputy General Counsel in Legal Department of large private company, managing personal injury claim files – primarily auto/trucking

accidents; collaborate with other attorneys in office, as well as in-house claims and risk management departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Open new claim files in electronic system and upload claim documents to
software (training will be provided).
  • Analyze liability issues, review medical records and summarize files.
  • Initiate investigations relevant to claimants and merits of claims.
  • Gather relevant documents and information from in-house colleagues.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with outside adjusters and investigators
  • Offer insight and recommendations to attorney and in-house litigation

paralegal with respect to handling of claims.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) + years in the claims, insurance and/or legal industry, specific to
the handling of personal injury and property damage (auto) claims, preferably on the defense side; law firm, insurance company, in-house
legal departments all relevant experience
  • Paralegal certification is not a requirement.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively and professionally
correspond and negotiate with claimants, attorneys, insurers, etc. in order
to handle claims
  • Working knowledge with reviewing medical records and associated
terminology.
  • Must be professional, highly organized, and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, with little supervision, and be able to multi-
task.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
