Sr. Performance Engineer

We are searching for a Sr. Performance Engineer to join our team in O FALLON, Missouri. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the tech industry. As a Sr. Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for driving product development, setting up tests, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, and maintaining project-related metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end product development for Payment Networks, leveraging significant experience in performance engineering.
- Set up and conduct performance tests independently, without developer influence.
- Utilize Blazemeter for performance testing of Java applications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues swiftly and effectively.
- Maintain and present project-related metrics for management review.
- Coordinate between teams located in various locations.
- Leverage strong technical skills in Java and Spring Boot Framework.
- Experience in Full Stack Development is desirable – Microservices, Messaging, Cloud Native, Database.
- Adhere to Agile methodology as a Performance Architect in Cloud Application.
- Cultivate in-depth knowledge in product development – Full stack (Database, Messaging, UI, Reporting).
- Use tools such as T3, Jmeter, Blazemeter, Java Micro Benchmark Harness (JMH), Micro Services, NATS or equivalent messaging services.
- Develop online/real-time scalable solutions.
- Spearhead quality initiatives and ensure high standards of code quality. • Proven experience as a Senior Performance Engineer or similar role
- Proficiency in Java programming language
- Expertise in Backend Testing
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with Blazemeter
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Commitment to staying informed about latest industry trends and advancements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
