Compliance Engineer

Job Title: NERC O&P (Operations) Compliance Engineer Job Requirements: Regulatory Audit Preparation: Lead efforts to prepare for regulatory audits, ensuring compliance with NERC O&P Standards. Develop and implement internal controls and mitigation plans to address compliance issues.
Standards Compliance: Monitor and enforce NERC Reliability Standards, particularly in Operations and Planning (O&P Conduct root cause analysis, extent of condition investigations, and develop reporting mechanisms for potential violations. Documentation and Management: Draft, review, and manage documentation related to NERC O&P Compliance.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of NERC RSAWs (Reliability Standards Audit Worksheets Training and Workshops: Organize and lead workshops to train subject matter experts (SMEs) on NERC Standards revisions. Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable on compliance requirements and internal controls.
Collaboration with NYPA: Work closely with the New York Power Authority to align compliance strategies and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Provide expert guidance on power system engineering, system operations, and energy management systems (EMS Requirements: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Experience: Extensive experience in NERC Compliance Management, Auditing, Monitoring, and Enforcement. Proven track record in preparing for and leading regulatory audits. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint NERC Certification Analytical and Organizational Skills: Strong analytical and risk assessment abilities.
Excellent organizational skills with the capability to coordinate activities, multi-task, and make decisions effectively. Communication and Training: Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to comprehend and convey complex material.

Experience in conducting training sessions and leading workshops for compliance and regulatory standards.
