Senior Business Analyst - SBA25-19417

Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support IT initiatives within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Agile methodologies, business process analysis, and requirements gathering, with a strong ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Agile Systems Development Life Cycle from requirement definition to post-production maintenance.
• Conduct business systems analysis and process redesign, working closely with internal and external users to document requirements.
• Manage Agile requirements, prioritize user stories, and define sprint scope.
• Utilize JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint for project tracking and documentation.
• Monitor system operations, analyze reports, and track, research, and resolve issues.
• Lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, analyze system workflows, and gather requirements.
• Prioritize user requirements using techniques such as MoSCoW analysis.
• Understand and document systemic data requirements as they relate to business processes.
• Coordinate and execute system testing and validation, including troubleshooting and resolution.
• Use SQL querying tools (e.g., TOAD) for data validation and reporting needs.
• Provide status updates to business leads and stakeholders, ensuring timely approval of requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive system documentation, including research reports, presentations, business analysis summaries, and design documents.
• Track and manage System Requests, Change Orders, and Information Requests to ensure proper prioritization and resolution.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide timely status updates and meeting summaries.
• Analyze changes in State and Federal regulations to assess system impact and recommend modifications.
• Review database structures to ensure compatibility with business applications.
• Develop data flow diagrams to map information movement within the organization.
• Mentor junior staff in business operations and system functionality.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an Agile Product Owner or Business Analyst.
• Strong background in business planning, data analysis, process analysis, functional requirements, system design, and change management.
• Experience working in Agile environments, with a proven ability to define, manage, and prioritize requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage across various organizational levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience supporting business and technical issue resolution.
• Ability to adapt to evolving business processes and operational changes.
• CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) or CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification preferred.
