Robert Half is working with a growing client to find a dedicated Cost Accountant with strong analytical skills. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for overseeing cost structures, inventory management, and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with operations, production, and logistics teams to understand the impact of cost data on business decisions. Prepare reports and insights on cost savings opportunities to executive management. Reconcile raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory accounts.
Assist with the annual budget and forecasting process by providing accurate cost data. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Provide financial analysis for ad hoc projects such as new product costing and pricing strategies.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: 2-5+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Knowledge: Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, GAAP, and inventory management practices.
