Consultant, IT Operations Research & Advanced Analytics (2312242
Responsible for supporting decision-making across the airline, including pricing and revenue management, fleet and network optimization, crew and flight scheduling, airport and maintenance operations and customer or social media analytics; Work with cross-functional teams and other analytics professionals to identify business opportunities and frame the analytics problem; Obtain, manipulate, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data from diverse sources; Build & validate advanced analytical and statistical models, using forecasting, optimization, and simulation (e.g., integer programming, non-Linear programming, stochastic programming, machine learning); Deploy models as proofs-of-concept or fully productionized implementations; Monitor and maintain deployed models to ensure continued effectiveness; Quantify business impacts and communicate actionable recommendations with business partners to drive informed decisions; Promote data-driven decision making across the company by delivering workshops and tutorials.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.Job Location: Fort Worth, TX
At least 2 years of experience as a Consultant, Teaching Assistant, Engineer, Research Assistant, Intern, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained, and demonstrated experience in: Utilizing analytical skills including Linear, Integer Programming, Mixed-Integer Programming; Developing Queuing models and Discrete Event Simulation engines; Building and designing solution algorithms for large scale optimization models including Network Optimization, Decomposition Algorithms and Heuristic Algorithms; Ability to explain complex technical concepts to different types of audiences including non-technical ones, and prepare presentations; Python, R, C++, or Java; Data extraction, cleaning, and analysis using SQL, R, or Python; Data visualization through PowerBI, Tableau, R, or Python; Implementation of optimization models with XPRESS, GUROBI, or CPLEX; Forecasting and statistical methods including regression and classification models in real-world applications.Experience may be gained during or through the course of graduate-level education.
