Associate Attorney – Estate Planning

The partners will train someone in more complex business planning and tax planning as well.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and revise key estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
• Provide clients with expert advice on estate planning strategies, tax considerations, and asset protection solutions.
• Meet with clients to understand their needs, develop tailored estate plans, and address their legal concerns.
• Collaborate closely with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive client service.
• Stay up-to-date with evolving estate planning laws and regulations to ensure best practices are followed.
• Represent clients in probate and estate administration proceedings when necessary.
• Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Must be licensed to practice law in the state
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning and estate law
• Proficient in drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
• Excellent research and analytical skills to handle complex estate planning issues
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and provide a high level of client service
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve legal disputes
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
• Proficient in the use of legal research software and other related software
• Must adhere to professional ethics and demonstrate a high level of integrity.
