About Our Client
My client is a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specializing in the development and manufacturing of small molecule Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). With a global presence and a reputation for excellence, they are committed to delivering innovative solutions to our clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.They are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director/Senior Director of Business Development to expand their CMC business in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) territory.
Job Description- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the RTP territory.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the small molecule/API sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market developments to identify new opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.

The Successful Applicant- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong knowledge of the small molecule/API development and manufacturing process.
- Extensive CMC experience.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel within the RTP territory, Greater US and occasionally internationally.
