Marine Field Service Electronics Technician

Position Overview: As a Marine Field Service Technician at the company, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and repair of our cutting-edge communication systems on marine vessels ( Tugboats, Container Vessels, Cargo Vessels, Tanker Vessels and Cruise Ships).You will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' systems are running optimally, providing exceptional service and support to maintain their connectivity and data exchange capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of marine communication systems, including satellite communication, radio systems, intercom systems, and network infrastructure.- Perform regular inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues and proactively resolve them to minimize system downtime.
- Provide comprehensive training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of communication systems.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to report and escalate technical issues, contributing to ongoing product improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all service activities.
-Document service activities, including reports, work orders, and technical documentation, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Field Service Technician/ Electronics Technician (Preferably within the maritime industry)Knowledge of marine communication systems, protocols, and equipment, including GMDSS, Inmarsat, VSAT, VHF, UHF, and LTE.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with a systematic and analytical approach.
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service, even in high-pressure situations.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and resources.
Flexibility to travel frequently and work in diverse marine environments.
