Quality Assurance Engineering Intern

Job Overview:

Nikkiso ACD has the most diversified product line in the industry covering nearly every application requiring pumps or turboexpanders.

This position is based at Nikkiso ACD located in Santa Ana, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting Products: Conducting quality checks on materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Data Collection: Gathering and analyzing data related to production processes and quality metrics.
• Documentation: Assisting in the maintenance of quality records, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Testing Procedures: Participating in the development and execution of testing procedures to validate product quality.
• Problem Solving: Identifying defects or inconsistencies and assisting in root cause analysis.
• Collaboration: Working with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and protocols.
• Training Support: Assisting in training sessions for staff on quality assurance practices and procedures.
• Compliance Check: Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Continuous Improvement**: Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality.
• Reporting: Preparing reports on quality findings and suggesting improvements based on data analysis.
• These tasks help interns gain practical experience while supporting the overall quality assurance process in the manufacturing setting.

Qualifications:

• Driven college students, or recent college graduates, with a major or degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Determined go-getters who embrace challenges.
• Passionate individuals that are eager to learn
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities in manufacturing engineering, mechanical design, critical thinking, and attention to detail

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time to use the computer, to perform paperwork activities, to attend meetings, etc.
• Intermittent walking to gain access to areas within the facility.
• Visual acuity sufficient to use a computer and to read and complete written documents.
• Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals by telephone and in person.
• Ability to bend, lift and carry books, files and office supplies and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.
