Working in our fast-moving Cath Lab certainly offers a variety of clinical challenges to Cath Lab Techs who choose this clinical area. We love techs who can wear many hats and think quickly on their feet while providing the best patient care!The Cath Lab Tech I operates radiographic equipment utilizing radiation safety procedures.
Exhibits a strong knowledge base of cardiovascular diseases and is able to interpret date gathered during procedures and recognize potential implications in patient care or complications

**Must live within 30 minutes of hospital for emergency response On-call 8-9 days every five weeks which includes one weekend shift**
Responsibilities:
- Operates physiologic recorder/database system with expertise recognizing arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms
- Operates manifold, power injector, and other support equipment (VCR, ACT machines, oximeters, and
- Anticipates physician needs by being knowledgeable of: 1. procedures performed in the department and 2. equipment (catheters,
- Sets up sterile trays and is able to assist physicians during procedures, utilizing septic technique.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate's Degree -OR- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist
(RCIS), or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
- BSL with the Americian Heart Association
- ACLS within six (6) months of hire
Preferred experience: Minimum one (1) year clinical experience in a hospital setting
