About Our Client

Our client is one of the nation's largest and well established general contractor developer. This role would be in their job order contracting division with opportunities to grow into other sectors of the business. In total there are 60 people within the chicagoland area and last year the Chicago division earned $400 million worth of projects.

They are well known for taking care of their employees and providing growth opportunities.

Job Description
  • The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing project teams through planning, design and construction phases for a wide variety of JOC projects
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction
  • The Project Manager is accountable for the execution of project scope, management of budget and schedule; development of strong relationships with clients and contractors; and drives business development
  • This role will offer a wide variety of individual project assignments which will allow the Project Manager to practice and develop technical knowledge and leadership skills
  • Serve as the manager of multi-discipline project teams assuming management responsibilities of scope, budget and schedule
  • Manage project budgets, costs, and receivables

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
  • 5+ years of experience in Construction
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
  • JOC experience
