Systems Development Engineer II, Amazon Autos
You’ll play a key role in architecting, designing, supporting services on AWS-based infrastructure. You’ll use and touch a wide range of technologies and systems, including products that we’ve built from the ground up and commercial products.
You’ll help junior engineers develop their skills, and continue to raise the bar building for the future of Amazon. You must have a bias towards automation and track record of creating automated solutions, have experience operating distributed systems and diagnosing and resolving complex problems, and pay attention to detail and solve problems at their root.
Key job responsibilities4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
6+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in productionExperience in the building of information security as a core competency throughout our relationships with our internal teams/partners/vendor; this includes designing the right level of data movements, and providing education and training to the organization
Experience processes/technologies to establish rules to protect data moving across the enterprise.

This role is on a team with a vision to create innovative automotive discovery and shopping experiences on Amazon, providing customers better convenience and more selection. We’re collaborating with other experienced teams at Amazon to define the future of how customers research and shop for cars online.- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
