Our location in Scarborough, Maine, currently has an opportunity for a Production Specialist II. In this role you will perform the work required for the automated assembly of components, devices, and/or the final product depending on the trade assigned.

A Production Operator works with computer operated machinery and is responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot exceptions on the assigned machine.

Schedule: Third Shift Sunday-Thursday 10:00 pm-6:30 am

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Support Manufacturing Operations:

  • Provide support to Division Classic Manufacturing Operations.
  • Perform unique set-ups, troubleshooting, and preparation of equipment and processes.
  • Conduct production set-ups, troubleshooting, corrective actions, and potential machine reassembly.

Equipment and Process Management:

  • Follow written directions such as complex blueprints or package drawings.
  • Work with a limited range of equipment.
  • Follow safe work procedures and practices.
  • Support assembly operations using semi-automated and automated equipment.

Inspection and Documentation:

  • Inspect products, document work orders, set up equipment, and make minor adjustments.
  • Assist with the set-up and close-out of work orders on production lines, including beginning and end of lot line clearances.
  • Move commodities, components, and final products to and from lines, ensuring accurate completion of work orders and associated documentation.
  • Review and audit in-process and completed work order packets for accurate data entry and proper documentation practices.

Problem Solving and Compliance:

  • Recognize and initiate corrective actions for problems occurring during the assembly process.
  • Operate within well-defined operating procedures and departmental standards.
  • Escalate significant problems to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to GMPs, standard operating procedures, and applicable safety rules.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required
  • Prior Machine Operation experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of GMP and how it applies to specific responsibilities and manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written work order instructions.
  • Ability to perform multiple job duties simultaneously and with moderate supervisory input.
  • Cross-certification in two or more CMO production areas is required.
Preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or understanding of medical device manufacturing

The base pay for this position is $17.80 – $35.60 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
