Position Overview:
Cole Engineering Services is seeking highly motivated candidates to join a team in testing new software and hardware baselines for PCTE.
This position is located in the Annapolis Junction area, and currently offers a hybrid workschedule based on current program requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Candidates will support the design and creation of cyber range training test cases, scenarios, and procedures that incorporates the use of a variety of software applications and tools.
- Performs unit testing, configuration item and system level tests, and support verification/validation testing as required.
- Develops test plans and test reports for all levels of testing performed.
- Works closely with the customer, development staff and systems engineers to thoroughly understand the system requirements and software implementation.
- Will be required to work with a team of Engineers from a diverse background of expertise.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as computer engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university. May substitute relevant military or work experience in lieu of degree.
- Five (5) years’ experience in a Test Engineer position testing new software baselines, as well as supporting installation of software and hardware at remote sites.
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification)
- Experience testing of web-based applications in a rapidly changing and evolving environment.
- Must be able to take initiative, communicate with team members, and identify and resolve potential issues
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
- Cyber Operations Training
- DevOps experience.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence
- Hardware troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
- Experience with virtualization
- Familiar with Linux.
Special Requirements/Security Clearance:
- TS/SCI required
Salary Range:
Salary Minimum: $100,000Salary Maximum: $120,000
