We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Secretary in the non-profit sector, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The chosen candidate will be a significant part of our team, executing various administrative tasks and ensuring smooth communication.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in administrative projects as required
  • Manage and maintain the appointment calendar effectively
  • Carry out clerical duties such as filing and document management
  • Assist visitors and direct them appropriately within the premises
  • Perform receptionist duties including answering phone calls and directing them as necessary
  • Provide administrative assistance for smooth operation of the office
  • Manage the communication to and from the board as the Secretary. • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar secretarial role within the non-profit sector
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clerical duties such as record keeping, scheduling, and data entry
  • Ability to assist visitors, ensuring they feel welcomed and adequately directed or referred
  • Experience in managing filing systems, both digital and paper-based, maintaining organization and accessibility
  • Proven ability to perform receptionist duties, including handling of incoming calls and visitor reception
  • Expertise in providing administrative assistance to executives, including scheduling, correspondence, and meeting arrangements
  • Strong phone coverage skills, including managing multiple lines, taking messages, and forwarding calls appropriately.
