Inertial Tracking Engineer / Systems Engineer

GeoLogics is seeking a talented Inertial Tracking Engineer to engineer to develop inertial tracking algorithms, develop tools and equipment for testing products, and analyzes data to improve product performance onsite in Orlando, FL.

Must have a deep understanding of orientation and navigation instruments and systems, and are proficient in programming languages such as MATLAB and C/C++.

Applicants need to have an Active Secret clearance or have held active secret in the past.

This is a long-term W2 contract.

REQUIRED: US Citizenship

PAY RATE: $50-65.50/hr.

W2 Hourly Contract Only with Limited Benefits

(No C2C, No 1099, No 3rd party agencies)

ONSITE LOCATION: Orlando, FL

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants need to have an Active Secret clearance or have held active secret in the past.

Bachelor's Degree with 6-8 YRS or Masters with 4-6 YRS -- Degree(s) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar
  1. 8 Years of experience with developing and analyzing algorithms related to inertial tracking and navigation
  2. 8 Years of experience with in one or more of the following programming languages: C++, Matlab, Python
Desired Skills:-
Experience with linear algebra software packages-
Strong programming skills that can translate to C++ development in a Linux environment-
Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real-time performance requirements-
Experience deploying complex algorithms in embedded systems-
Experience developing algorithms using artificial intelligence / machine learning (AI/ML) techniques-
Knowledge of electro-optical/infrared detection (EOIR) technology, optics, and principles of radiometry-
Demonstrated expertise in developing and analyzing algorithms related to navigation and inertial tracking-
Professional experience and demonstrated proficiency in math as it relates to Kalman filtering, optimal state estimation, linear algebra, probability and statistics, and multivariate calculus-
Familiarity with clutter rejection techniques-

Knowledge and experience with modeling and simulation of EOIR systems.

Responsibilities

The inertial tracking algorithm development areas include extended and unscented Kalman filtering, non-linear state estimation, Gaussian mixture models, information filtering, particle filtering, multi-hypothesis tracking, Bayesian inference, multi-sensor fusion, passive sensing and stereo tracking, angle-only tracking, feature-aided tracking, image tracking, integrated multi-model tracking, low-SNR target tracking, inertial attitude and line-of-sight estimation, contextual data fusion, scene-based event detection, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, object classification, kinematic and radiometric feature estimation, hypothesis testing, and Monte Carlo methods.-

Responsible for the development of complex models and simulations, evaluation of system performance in complex scenarios and environments, and the verification of system and subsystem level requirements. -
Be comfortable developing and presenting technical material to internal leadership and external customers. -
Must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is comfortable multi-tasking across a number of programmatic and technical responsibilities. -
Capable of working in a collegial team environment among subject matter experts coming from a variety of academic backgrounds. -

Also, have the desire to work towards becoming a technical subject matter expert in algorithm development.
