Production Manager
The Production Manager will lead and oversee production teams, managing body armor product manufacturing processes. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, this hands-on role demands Leadership , detail orientation, and accountability to meet production goals and maintain safety standards.
Position Requirements:
- Experience:
- 10+ years in a hands-on leadership role with frontline production teams, ideally in garment or textile production.
- 5+ years in body armor manufacturing (preferred).
- Proven track record in employee training, productivity, and safety.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Lean experience required, with Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
- Production scheduling, project management, and communication skills.
- English and Spanish.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities- Leadership & Safety:
- Lead by example to foster a "safety-first" culture and establish safety practices for production teams.
- Serve as a role model for the production workforce with a servant leadership approach.
- Production & Quality Oversight:
- Oversee and manage production operations, ensuring production lines run smoothly and efficiently.
- Implement and monitor production KPIs using lean tools to drive continuous improvement and productivity.
- Organize workflows to meet specifications, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Supervise and evaluate production personnel, including quality inspectors and production workers.
- Approve maintenance work, oversee equipment purchasing, and ensure minimal downtime.
- Team Development & Coaching:
- Attract and retain top talent, with a focus on training employees for productivity and safety.
- Coach and mentor employees individually and in groups to enhance performance and team cohesion.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Manage production scheduling, resources, and sub-contractor workflows.
- Develop and communicate documented processes, ensuring best practices are maintained.
