Document Specialist

What you’ll be doing::
Use independent judgment in creating, designing, programming, and composing a variety of complex documents using various software applications. Proofread individually completed work and work of others for proper English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting.Assist other staff members with more complex assignments and be a key resource/training individual in the unit. Process highly confidential information.
**This is a HYBRID position that requires 2 days per week IN the office and can be based in one of the below locations:
- Milwaukee, WI
- Madison, WI
- Merrill, WI (preferred location)
- Mechanicsburg, PA

On any given day, you’ll::
- Create, design, program, and compose complex documents using various software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation graphics, and report generators. Generate complex forms, legal documents, and other materials.
- Make independent decisions in the creating, designing, programing, and composing of forms, form letters, and templates for department and corporate users. Organize and prioritize work, as necessary, to balance assignments with overlapping deadlines.
- Create and maintain training manuals/materials for the department and the company.
- Proofread individually completed work and work of others for proper English, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format.
- Communicate with all company staff regarding their requests. Work closely with requestor(s) to obtain all information necessary for satisfactory job completion by agreed upon deadline. As needed, prepare monthly workload management reports based on work completed.
- Maintain the confidentiality of work processed.
- Take minutes at meetings and compose, assemble, and distribute as appropriate.
- Complete special projects when requested.
- Train and assist other employees in various hardware and software products and department procedures. Train new personnel on job duties. Provide feedback to supervisor as requested.
- Answer inquiries in a user-friendly dialogue regarding programs, policies, and services.

- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional schooling is highly desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of English, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Basic knowledge of Adobe, Livecycle, and Cincom Eloquence highly desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of hardware and software configurations.
- Ability to pay high degree of attention to detail and adhere to strict accuracy/quality/consistency standards.
- Ability to follow and apply processing guidelines and procedures to daily work activities.
- Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrate ongoing commitment to education, training, and development activities to keep up with rapidly changing technical environment.
- Above average typing/keyboarding skills.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work and handle multiple assignments to meet deadlines or requirements.
- Ability to set up highly complex word processing formats and to use technical reference materials.
- Ability to train others.
- Evidence of creativity and advanced skill levels regarding presentation design, formats/procedures, and graphic applications.
- Ability to function under pressure and to accept suggestions/feedback from others.
- Ability to function without close supervision and to independently make decisions.

Exact compensation will vary based on consideration of a variety of factors including education, skills, experience, and location.
Minimum Compensation: USD $20.84/Hr.
Maximum Compensation: USD $29.17/Hr.
