We are looking for a Buyer/Planner for a contract (possibly permanent for the right person) assignment that can start as early as next week. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of Buying experience in a manufacturing setting. If qualified and interested, please apply directly for immediate consideration!

education: High School

• Purchase material based on BOM to meet production requirements for electrical control panel and cable assembly operations.
• Order materials in a timely fashion in order to meet production date requirements. Ability to account for lead times within this process.
• Compare prices, specifications and delivery dates to determine best bid among suppliers
• Work with vendors to reduce costs.
• Prepare and process purchase orders
• Contact suppliers as needed to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve shortages; or missed or late deliveries
• Assist with managing inventory levels to support production and maximize organization cash flow.
• Work with production personnel to overcome issues related to material shortages and scheduling requirements.
• Assist with triple match packing slip process to ensure accurate costing/purchasing.
• Provide costing information for project quoting.
• Perform any additionally assigned duties as requested
