We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Receptionist in Bakersfield, California. This role lies within the industry and involves tasks such as answering phone calls, assisting visitors, sorting mail, and maintaining records.

The chosen candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to manage a range of administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate multi-line phone system, handling incoming calls, and directing them to the appropriate personnel or department.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions about the organization, and supplying callers with necessary information such as address and directions.
  • Welcome on-site visitors, identify their needs, and direct them to the right personnel.
  • Manage daily mail, receiving, sorting, and stamping them appropriately.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for data entry and email correspondence.
  • Maintain organized files and schedule appointments as needed.
  • Handle cash/checks from consumers, providing receipts when required.
  • Manage communications, documents, and materials as directed, adhering to established procedures.
  • Provide information or assistance to the public or staff within the scope of knowledge.
  • Handle products received from purchases, performing check-ins as necessary. • At least one year of experience in a receptionist role or similar
  • Proficiency in answering multi-line phone systems
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience with data entry tasks
  • Ability to correspond effectively via email
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse individuals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in organizing files and maintaining filing systems
  • Ability to schedule appointments effectively and manage calendars
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
