Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled CVOR Technician to join our Surgical Services team. The ideal candidate will assist surgeons and other surgical personnel during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile operating environment while providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring seamless workflow in the operating room.
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are functional and ready for use.
• Assist in patient positioning and surgical site preparation before procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and support surgical staff with necessary equipment setup during procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and sterile field requirements throughout surgeries.
• Provide post-operative support as needed.
• Take on-call shifts at least two days per week and 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule, based on facility needs.
• Be available for overtime shifts as required.
• Float to other Prisma Health units and campuses as needed, based on qualifications.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of CVOR Tech experience in a surgical setting.
• Ability to work on-call shifts and flexible overtime hours when required.
• Flu Vaccine required (No exemptions allowed).
• Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on facility needs.

Certifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
