Job Description
SiteOne has seen tremendous growth over the last few years, and we are expanding our distribution center network to ensure best in class service levels to our branch locations. This position will work with cross functional teams to implement an industry leading cloud-based Warehouse Management System and lead a team of WMS Superusers.The ideal candidate will have previous WMS implementation experience, experience with Manhattan Associates software solutions, and a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service for a wholesale or retail organization while fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Experience with new site startup and process building and documentation is preferred.
What you’ll do:
- Be the company subject matter expert for WMS, including leading the implementation of WMS
- Effectively lead a team of on-site WMS super users spread across the company’s distribution network
- Ensure WMS deployment effectively supports the Distribution Operation, including system implementation, system maintenance, system optimization, future system development, data analysis and reporting
- Translate business objectives into tactical systems requirements and vice versa, effectively communicate in vernacular based on audience
- Partner with Training & Development teams to develop and maintain training material
- Train key WMS users to effectively utilize the system and enhance performance
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and other functional leadership, especially IT, to develop and execute implementation, maintenance, and training for WMS-related activities
- Lead the testing of WMS functionality related to process changes and system upgrades
- Develop a roadmap and make recommendations for the enhancement of the WMS to maintain the integrity of business expectations and performance standards
- Lead WMS-related conversations with other functional systems leads to ensure WMS supports the business and other systems support WMS functionality
- Support other internal and external business units as required for WMS-related activity
- Manage logistics projects as required internally with the Supply Chain leadership team
Travel requirements:
- Up to 20% of the time
Skills We Are Seeking::
Must-Haves:
- 7+ years’ experience in distribution operations, supply chain, or a similar role as part of a retail or wholesale operation
- WMS systems administration and implementation experience
- Strong organizational skills to manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication
- A track record of providing superior customer service and exceeding expectations
- Strong verbal communication skills
- 4 year degree or equivalent industry experience
- Willingness to travel as needed, especially during new site implementation
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Experience leading a team of one or more WMS superusers
- Experience with Manhattan Associates / Manhattan Active WMS a plus (other relevant WMS system experience may include Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Korber, etc.)
- Experience with SQL or other query/programming language
- Functional knowledge of other supply chain management applications (ERP, IP&R, TMS, YMS, etc.)
- Experience in the green distribution, irrigation, nursery, or landscape industry
