Systems & Cloud Infrastructure Senior Manager
Overview:

Here's some of what you will be doing:
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of highly skilled Infrastructure & Platforms Engineers.
- Hire, train, and onboard new team members, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support employee growth and development.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and continuous learning.
- Motivate and inspire the team to achieve high levels of performance and exceed expectations.
- Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement the team's strategic plan, aligning with the organization's overall technology roadmap and business objectives.
- Define and prioritize team objectives and projects, ensuring they deliver maximum value to the organization.
- Monitor team performance against key metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall service delivery.
- Infrastructure Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the infrastructure environment, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Manage and optimize infrastructure costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security and regulatory standards.
- Technical Oversight:
- Maintain a strong understanding of current and emerging infrastructure technologies (e.g., cloud computing, virtualization, containerization, automation).
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team as needed.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and monitor infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required level of quality.
- Manage project risks and effectively resolve issues.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with other departments across the organization, including development, operations, and security teams.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, on technical and project-related matters.
- Represent the team in cross-functional meetings and committees.
Here's some experience we are seeking:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role within an IT environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization technologies, and server/storage technologies.
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Terraform).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to represent ministry and executive staff professionally and maintain confidentiality.
