Overview:
Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) is seeking a proactive and engaging Assistant Director of Recruitment and Outreach to support and enhance the institution's admissions outreach efforts. Reporting directly to the Director of Recruitment and Outreach, the Assistant Director will assist in leading the outreach team, focusing on engaging with prospective students, managing recruitment events, and improving the overall experience for prospective students and applicants.

This role will involve collaborating closely with the enrollment management team and academic departments to implement strategic initiatives and achieve enrollment goals while also representing KGI at various regional and national recruitment events.

Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) was founded in 1997 as the first higher education institution in the United States dedicated exclusively to education and research related to the applied life sciences. Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree is required and a minimum of three years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, or recruiting, preferably within graduate or professional schools, or equivalent experience in private-sector sales. Experience utilizing CRM systems for lead generation, enrollment, or sales is highly desirable.

A Master's degree and previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role is preferred.

Outreach (35%):
Implement a comprehensive outreach strategy for assigned territories and assist in the development of the Outreach team strategy to achieve enrollment goals for KGI programs.
Attend recruitment events and opportunities throughout the region to represent KGI at community events, engage with prospective students, and generate leads.
Participate in and coordinate regularly scheduled information sessions for prospective students and applicants.
Analyze market trends and assist in refining recruitment efforts based on data.

Identify new regional market opportunities and partnerships to enhance domestic and international outreach efforts.

Direct Recruitment and Marketing (35%):
Ensure assigned prospects are effectively guided through the enrollment process with direct phone, text, and email communication to ensure application and enrollment goals are achieved.
Support the development and execution of communication strategies aimed at engaging prospective students and stakeholders.
Work with the outreach and marketing teams to align marketing resources with the prospect journey through automated communications and customized recruitment content.

Collaborate with the Director and other admissions staff to plan and implement on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruitment events.

Leadership (20%):
Assist the Director in monitoring the Outreach team's activity, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and tracking productivity.
Provide support in training and developing the outreach staff, ensuring they are well-versed in KGI's programs and can effectively communicate with prospective students.
Participate in developing presentations and materials that communicate KGI's unique value proposition and its programs.
Assist in managing communications with partners and international recruitment agents, ensuring they are knowledgeable about KGI programs.

Support the Director in developing and reinforcing policies and procedures for the outreach team and leading by example.

Systems (10%):
Assist in maintaining and optimizing the CRM system (Salesforce and Hubspot) to track outreach activities and report on key metrics.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for CRM use, including training for staff and system updates.
Collaborate with Admissions leadership to maintain dashboards and reports for the Outreach team.

Other duties as assigned.

Ability to travel up to 50% regionally and occasionally out-of-state.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record (as maintained by the DMV) that is acceptable to the Institute's insurance carrier.

Hours, Classification, and Status: This is a regular, full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt position.

The regular hours of this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary due to the needs of the College or department.

Salary range: $75,000 - $80,000 annualized. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on various factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.

Special Requirements

Physical and Mental Requirements :
Ability to maintain good concentration level while dealing with interruptions; attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy; capable of giving, receiving, and analyzing information; formulating work plans; and articulating goals and action plans.
Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time. Standing for extended periods of time. Reaching and extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Finger dexterity is required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than the whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard.
Communication skills using the spoken word. Ability to see within normal parameters. Ability to hear within normal parameters. Ability to bend and stoop, for example, to file. Ability to move about. Ability to lift and carry short distances up to 20 lbs., for example, to lift or move office supplies, files, books, and packages.

Occasionally, will be required to stand for prolonged periods of time at activities/events on and off-campus. Ability to drive locally and travel by airplane nationally, up to 25%. May require overnight stays.
