Consulting Position Available for a Grants Manager!

We are looking for a dedicated Sr. Grant & Contracts Admin in the non-profit industry to join our team in NEW YORK, New York. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and involves managing all aspects of the grants and contracts process, ensuring compliance with various regulations, and providing expertise related to subgrants and subcontracts.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the entire process of grants and contracts, from establishment to performance measurement
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and other financial and administrative requirements for both our organization and recipients of pass-through funds
  • Manage workflows and maintain effective communication regarding the progress of grants and contracts
  • Maintain accurate electronic files for subgrants and subcontracts awarded by our organization
  • Oversee procurement for subgrant and subcontract and ensure compliance with funding requirements
  • Record expenses related to subgrants and subcontracts in the general ledger in a timely manner
  • Conduct management and monitoring of sub recipients in compliance with the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards and other applicable regulations
  • Review funding award terms and conditions with regional and national program staff to ensure funds are expended in compliance with the terms and conditions
  • Maintain necessary schedules and relevant backup to ensure the accuracy of the grants payable information contained in the general ledger
  • Review commitments made by staff against funding award agreements and budgets as specified by award documentation
  • Provide data related to grants and contracts to the Manager, Financial Reporting Analyst, and collaborate with them on grant and contract reporting and billing.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the non-profit sector
  • Proficiency in using Bloomberg Terminal
  • Extensive knowledge of business systems
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Familiarity with financial software
  • Proven expertise in accounting functions and auditing
  • Demonstrated ability in capital management and managing cash activity
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and procedures
  • Experience with government grants, pass-through entities, and subcontract agreements
  • Knowledge of federal funding and managing federal funds
  • Experience with annual fund and non-profit fund accounting
  • Familiarity with fund administration
  • Ability to conduct compliance assessments and prepare compliance documentation
  • Experience with compliance functions and reporting
  • Knowledge of contract compliance
  • Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite Technologies
