- Monitor system performance, uptime, and overall reliability, proactively addressing potential issues
- Deploy, manage, and update on-premise and cloud-based systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS).
- Administer and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Ensure system security through regular updates, patches, and anti-virus tools.
- Design and implement backup/recovery solutions to protect business-critical data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems, escalating complex cases when necessary.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams on system upgrades, projects, and strategic technology initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date system documentation, including inventories, configurations, and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux distributions, or both.
- Proficiency in cloud environments like AWS or Azure
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with tools and platforms such as PowerShell, Ansible, or other scripting/automation technologies.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.
