The Role:

Torticity is adding a part-time Tech Recruiter to our People & Culture Team to assist our Executive Director, Talent with day-to-day recruiting efforts as we continue to grow and make significant additions to our Technology team and assist with recruiting for other technical and analytical roles.
You’ll function as the right hand to our Executive Director, Talent and have recruiting responsibilities for specific roles within the organization such as software engineers, analytics engineers, product managers and designers. The Tech Recruiter will be responsible for coordinating our hiring process to find, attract, screen and interview the most exclusive tech talent possible.

This role can be local or remote. You’ll initially work part-time for approximately 3 months with an option to extend beyond this.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with the internal recruiting team to review job descriptions and discuss hiring needs
  • Actively source candidates through online platforms (LinkedIn, GitHub, job boards), job fairs, networking, and other channels
  • Screen and evaluate technical resumes to assess fit with job requirements
  • Conduct initial phone or video interviews to gauge technical competency, cultural fit, and candidate expectations
  • Track candidates through the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure the recruitment process runs smoothly
  • Review qualified applications with Executive Director, Talent
  • Keep candidates engaged and updated throughout the hiring process

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 3+ years of proven success as a Technology Recruiter
  • Understanding of coding languages, software development life cycle, cloud platforms, and technical jargon to better assess candidate qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in the entire recruitment life cycle
  • Knowledge of effective hiring practices including networking, use of job boards and social media and cold calling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
