Staff Accountant - ref. f4195603

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities ranging from cash management and financial reporting to compliance. This position will provide crucial support to our operations by ensuring financial matters are handled accurately and efficiently.

• Reconcile cash sheets by downloading bank balances from custodial websites and matching activity to our accounting system.
• Post all financial statement activity including cash movements and expenses using Microsoft Business Central and distribute reports of cash activity daily.
• Prepare wire transfers in a timely and thorough manner for fund transfers, capital calls, investments, and distributions.
• Provide recommendations on cash funding required for large payments and payroll.
• Address ad hoc reporting requests, specifically related to cash activity or other queries as needed.
• Assist with SEC 13 F Reporting, brokerage reconciliations, and call reports.
• Support the Chief Compliance Officer with annual AML audits.
• Aid with Financial Audits for regulated funds as needed.
• Work on special projects as required.

• Demonstrated experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance and management
• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries
• Proven experience in Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting purposes
• Knowledge of Oracle and its applications in accounting
• Expertise in using QuickBooks for financial management
• Familiarity with SAP and its use in accounting processes
