Senior Risk Officer-NYC

We have partnered with a financial company in the New York, NY area to provide them with a Senior Risk Officer.
Prioritized must haves for the Senior Risk Officer:
#1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business, risk management); advanced degree or certification (e.g., CFA, FRM)
#2. Strong leadership and change management skills to support a future-forward organization.

#3. Ability to collect and analyze relevant information on U.S. banking regulatory developments and advise on potential impacts.

Requirements for the Senior Risk Officer: Proven experience in developing and overseeing risk management frameworks, particularly in U.S. operations.

Strong expertise in measurement, aggregation, and monitoring across all risks, including market, liquidity, credit, information security/technology, and operational risks.
Knowledge of compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks applicable to U.S. banking, including the U.S. Bank Holding Company Act.
Experience in corporate governance improvements and implementation of governance frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate regulatory developments and their implications on business operations.
Strong understanding of enterprise risk management principles and the ability to minimize risks effectively.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with senior leadership, including the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Americas Division.
Proven track record of implementing and establishing new policies and procedures to enhance organizational efficiency and growth.
Ability to oversee multiple departments (e.g., FRM, ORM, IRG) and ensure their alignment with organizational goals.
Strategic planning skills, including the development of business plans and budgets.
Ability to collect and analyze relevant information on U.S. banking regulatory developments and advise on potential impacts.
Experience in monitoring and testing risks and controls to ensure compliance and effective risk mitigation.
Strong leadership and change management skills to support a future-forward organization.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business, risk management); advanced degree or certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.

Other Key Requirements: Onsite / hybrid role
