Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in data cleansing and migration within large software implementation projects. This role will involve working with the client's Department of Corrections to coordinate and lead data migration efforts to a new enterprise-level software solution, replacing numerous aging legacy systems.
Requirements- Review, analyze, evaluate, validate, organize, and coordinate the data cleansing and migration efforts.
- Lead MDOC, Agency Services, and DTMB teams along with third-party vendors in cleansing and migrating legacy system data to vendor-hosted SaaS sophisticated enterprise-level software suites.
- Use Azure DevOps to track all assigned tasks and ensure clear, concise, and correct data cleansing and migration requirements.
- Communicate effectively with multiple groups of technical and business groups including enterprise architecture analysts, database administrators, data scientists, business analysts, ETL developers, business subject matter experts, quality assurance and testing resources, and end users.
- Perform additional business analyst duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in coordinating and leading multiple technical and business teams with data cleansing and migration efforts.
- Experience documenting data cleansing and migration plans, and explaining such plans to technical teams, business teams, and vendors.
- Understanding and creating relational database schema, SQL, formal descriptions of data, data structures, data flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, data dependencies, and data relationships.
- Ability to identify data cleansing and migration risks and assist in the resolution of project issues.
Top Skills & Years of Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data cleansing and migration within large software implementation projects.
- Proven track record of effective project management and leadership in complex IT environments.
- Strong technical background with detailed knowledge of relational databases and data management.
