We are working with a dynamic investment management firm specializing in private equity with a mission to partner with innovative companies and drive long-term value creation.

Position Overview:

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing firm and gain valuable experience in alternative investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fund Accounting: Maintain general ledgers for multiple private equity/venture capital funds, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
• Capital Calls & Distributions: Prepare and process capital calls, distributions, and investor communications, ensuring compliance with partnership agreements.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Track portfolio investments, including valuations, capital contributions, and distributions.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reports, and management fee calculations in accordance with GAAP.
• Intercompany Transactions: Manage and reconcile intercompany balances among multiple funds.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during fund audits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of requested information.
• Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Assist in preparing regulatory filings, such as Form PF, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Support senior management with special projects and financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CFA preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in fund accounting, with a focus on private equity or venture capital.
• Strong understanding of partnership accounting, capital structures, and fund operations.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and financial modeling.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with senior management and investors.
