Construction Superintendent - Multifamily projects up to $35M

General Contractor with 20+ years of experience in the construction industry and a very positive industry reputation is actively looking for a Superintendent in the Greater Boston area to join their team!

They provide full service construction throughout the East Coast & Mid-Atlantic region. Specializing in Affordable Housing, Multifamily, Townhomes, Historic Renovations, and Light Commercial projects up to $35M.

Job Description

The Superintendent is responsible for:

• General supporting contract, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications under direction from the Superintendent
• Checking and verifying subcontractor layout to ensure compliance with established control, line and grade
• Monitoring production and recording rates in logbook to be used for future scheduling
• Maintaining a set of production documents and updating daily so an accurate picture of work in place is consistently maintained
• Reporting/resolving any and all field conditions and issues
• Monitoring job progress on-site, checking all work to ensure compliance with contract documents and the Quality Control Program
• Developing and carrying out the plan and schedule for project work
• Planning and preparing documentation to facilitate the close out process
• Working with and coaching field engineers on the project to facilitate their skills development

The Successful Applicant

The right Superintendent has the following qualifications:

• Comfortable commuting to places such as: Salem, MA, Mattapan, MA, and Chelsea, MA
• Comfortable with "In Place Tenant Renovation"
• MA-CSL (non-negotiable)
• 5+ years of experience in the Construction Industry
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
• Multifamily/ Affordable Housing project experience preferred
• Experience working with subcontractors and other team members
• Ability to work in a fast paced construction environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• OSHA certified
