Speech Language Pathologist - Neuro Rehabilitation Specialist

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to patients with neurorehabilitation needs. Evaluate, diagnose, and implement treatment plans to enhance communication and swallowing abilities for individuals in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders, focusing on brain injury and neurological conditions.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans and document progress using EPIC.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and recovery strategies.
  • Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Active NYS Speech-Language Pathology license.
  • ASHA certification and BCLS certification required.
  • Experience with neurorehabilitation and patient rehab preferred.
