Position Summary:
Moody Center is offering a paid internship program for the Summer Semester. We are looking for individuals who want professional level experience and have the initiative, skills and drive to excel. This program will give individuals an opportunity to work alongside professionals in the live entertainment, sports, and venue management industry.This internship will provide experience with the Building Engineering Team. Interns will gain working knowledge of the Engineering Department.
Internship Details:
- Pay: $13.00/hour
- Not to exceed 20 hours per week
- Internship Dates: 2025 Summer Semester (June-August)
- Location: Moody Center, on UT campus
This position will remain open until May 9, 2025.

Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Building Engineering team in the following areas: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, General maintenance
- Learn the established preventive maintenance program
- Learn how to create cost analysis
- Learn how to use 24/7 Workorder system
- Be integrated into the planning of Special Projects
- Ability to manipulate small tools and equipment
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Frequent bending, lifting 50 -75 pounds, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building, exposure to loud noises, and standing for long periods of time
- Be comfortable in close quarters and small spaces

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a collaborative team setting

- Previous experience within a sports, entertainment, or related field is preferred
- Willingness to learn and open to coaching
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
