Location: Fairfield, NJ

Duration: full-time (up to 40 hours per week), for a period of 10 weeks (June 9 – August 15)

Our Department: The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) department manages the Bank’s capital and commercial real estate stress testing programs, as well as risk reporting to the Bank’s Board of Directors and executive management team. In this capacity, ERM produces periodic and ad hoc reports and analytics on key topics that include, capital, asset quality, liquidity, sensitivity, and other non-banking risks, such as climate risk.

ERM also oversees the Bank’s Model Risk Management program.

Job Overview: As an Enterprise Risk Management Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various risk management functions. You will work closely with the enterprise risk management team to support daily operations and contribute to ongoing projects.

This internship is designed to provide you with practical experience and insights into the enterprise risk management field.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and execution of risk assessments and mitigation plans.
  • Support the review and evaluation of internal controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Help identify and document risk findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in the development of risk management policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation of risk management reports and presentations, and the management of underlying risk data used to support risk reports.
  • Provide general administrative support to the enterprise risk management team.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong quantitative and data management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn.
